Shri Rohan Chand Thakur is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) belonging to the 2009 batch of the Himachal Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is working as Director in Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial services, Government of India. He has previously worked with Tata Administrative service (TAS) before joining the civil services.

He is an Economics graduate from St. Stephen's College, Delhi and a postgraduate in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad. He is also a Chevening Gurukul Fellow from the University of Oxford and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University, USA.

He is also serving as Government Nominee Director at Union Bank of India (UBI) and Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank (UPGB).
